Kazakhstan first participated at the Olympic Games as an independent nation in 1994, and has sent athletes to compete in every Games since then. Kazakhstan participated in a total of 21 sports categories at Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. The total number of athletes from Kazakhstan who competed in various sports was 222. Kazakh national team has 13 Olympics Medals,such as 2 gold , 4 silver and 7 bronze. Kazakhstan showed the best sports in wrestling, judo and weightlifting and the rank level 29th in the table of Olympic medals. A few details of Kasakhstan Medalists.

1. SARSEKBAYEV BAKHYT

Sarsekbayev has won the  gold Medal in welterweight boxing competition. In the final match, he defeated Cuban Carlos Banteaux Suarez 18:9 . The gold medal to be greatest news in Kazakhstan at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Sarsekbayev scored at will with his crunching right hooks to the body and straight lefts right on the muzzle. He had  won the gold medal in the welterweight at the 2006 Asian Games and won the 2006 World University Boxing Championships and also won the bronze Medal at the 2002 Asian Games.

2. ILIN ILYA

Ilya Ilin won the gold medal in the men’s 94kg weightlifting class at the Beijing Olympics. Ilya Ilin won Kazaksthan’s first weightlifting gold medal in the Beijing Olympics. He has first youngest weightlifter gold medalist from Kazakhstan. Ilin started weightlifting at just six years of age and his sporting hero is Turkish weightlifting champion Halil Mutlu. Poland Kolecki and Ilin were in a tight race, Ilin finally went for it at 226 kg and very well success for his victory. He also won the two gold Medals in men’s -94 kg class at the 2006 World Weightlifting Championships and men’s -85 kg class at the 2005 World Weightlifting Championships. He has very involved in this field and Beijing make a good future.

3. NEKRASSOVA IRINA

Irina Nekrassova of Kazakhstan earn the silver Medal in the women’s 63 kg-division. Irina Nekrassova of Kazakhstan set the tone of the final by lifting 105kg in the Snatch with her first attempt and then went on lifting 110kg with her rest attempts. At last taking the gold medal with a total weight of 241kg.  Nekrassova became runner-up with a total weight 240kg. She also participate 2007 World Weightlifting Championships. She ranked in 9th was this championships and lift with a total weight 228 kg.

4. VAZHENINA ALLA

She won the Silver Medal in women’s 75kg weightlifting competition. She lifted with total weight 266kg. She has very strong weightlifter and she also won silver medal in the 75 kg category at the 2008 Asian Weightlifting Championships. Vazhenina and Evstyukhina were neck and neck throughout the competition, outdoing each other lift by lift. Competitors must choose their own weights for each of their six lifts, three in snatch and three in clean and jerk. In the snatch the bar is pulled over the head from the floor in one continuous motion, while the clean and jerk is a two-step lift in which the bar is first raised to shoulder level, then pushed overhead.

5.TIGIYEV TAIMURAZ

He won the Silver Medal in freestyle wrestling 96 kilograms, competition. Muradov defeated Taimuraz Tigiyev of Kazakhstan 1-0, 1-0 for the medal. Both periods were tight, but Muradov’s blanketing defense created just enough room for him to score the only two points he needed to win. He had very happy for his victory and it’s a great achievement for his future. The medal to be great news to Kazakhstan.

6. ZHITKEYEV ASKHAT

Askhat Zhitkeyev of Kazakhstan take silver Medal in the final of the men’s 100-kg judo competition. Mongolia has won it’s first Olympic gold medal in this competition. Naidan posted three scoring throws to outclass Zhitkeyev, each time using brute strength to pick his opponent off the floor and roll him on to his back. Two minutes in and diving low, he slung Zhitkeyev across his shoulders and tossed him on his side to post a high waza ari score. Although the Kazakhstan judoka still won his nation’s first Olympic medal in the sport. Zhitkeyev is a top performer in Kazakhstan and he also won the gold medalist at 2004 Asian Championships and won two bronze Medal in the various Championships in 2001, 2002.

7. SHYNALIYEV YERKEBULAN

He is an amazing boxer from Kazakhstan. He won the Bronze medal in the Men’s Light heavyweight boxing competition at Beijing. He also won the Bronze Medal in light heavyweight at the 2007 World Amateur Boxing Championships and silver at the World Junior Championships in 2006. In semifinal boxing competition, shynaliyev defeated with chinese zhang xiaoping with a score of 4:4. However, the referees decision china won this fight, who has a chance to battle for gold in the final.

8. TENGIZBAYEV NURBAKYT

The Men’s Greco-Roman 60 kilogram Wrestling category the bronze medals were won by Ruslan Tiumenbaev of Kyrgyzstan and Nurbakyt Tengizbayev of Kazakhstan. Greco-Roman wrestling competition consists of a single-elimination tournament, Kazakhstan won a bronze match against China’s Jiang Sheng and Nurbakyt won the first period 4-1, but Jiang took the second period 2-1. In the deciding period, Nurbakyt scored three points in the last par terre and sealed the match.

9. SHALYGINA YELENA

Shalygina from kazakhstan competed in the 63kg weight class at Beijing .She won the bronze Medal in this competition. Kaori Icho of Japan has take the gold. Japan’s five-time world champion Kaori Icho retained her Olympic women’s wrestling 63kg title. Yelena Shalygina made a total of seven bronze medals for Kazakhstan. That is the greatest news for kazakhstan.  She also second in the World Championships 2007. she put on a tremendous performance in Beijing.

10. CHILMANOV ARMAN

He won the Bronze Medal for the Men’s +80kg Taekwondo event. Cuba’s Angel Matos and his coach be banned for life after the athlete kicked a referee in the face following his bronze-medal match disqualification. Matos, beating Arman Chilmanov of Kazakhstan 3-2 near the end of the match, was disqualified for taking more than the allotted one minute of injury time Fighters get one minute, and Matos exceeded the allowed time. It is a most unfortunate situation. It is an insult to Olympism, At last shared the bronze medal with the winner of the other third-place bout, Nigeria’s Chika Yagazie Chukwumerije. The bronze Medalists Chilmanov also won the silver medals in various chapionships. He had top performer in kazakhstan.

Denmark receives 30 th position in this summer Olympics at Beijing. They won 2 gold , 2 silver and 3 bronze with total of 7 medals in  this Olympics. They participated in 16 sports with 84 competitors. Joachim Olsen was the flag bearer of the opening ceremony at Beijing. They first participated in the 1896 Olympic games. They sent athletes to compete in every summer games except 1904. Paul Elvstrom, one of the famous name of Denmark, won four consecutive gold medals between 1948 and 1960. Their best team sport is hand ball. Denmark’s most famous name in athletics is 800m runner Wilson Kipketer. They won gold medal for rowing and sailing in Beijing. They expected gold medal for wrestling, cycling, handball, the equestrian events, rowing, athletics etc. They achieved 6 medals in the 2000 summer Olympics. In 2004 Athens Olympics they achieved a total of 8 medals. The winners of 2008 Beijing Olympics from Denmark are listed below.

1.Mads Christian Kruse Andersen, Eskild Ebbesen, Thomas Ebert,Morten Jorgensen (Men’s lightweight coxless four)

The Denmark’s team won the gold medal for the men’s lightweight coxless rowing event in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Mads Christian Kruse Andersen, Eskild Ebbesen, Thomas Ebert ,Morten Jorgensen are the team members. Mads Christian Kruse Andersen won the gold medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics as a part of the team. He was born in Lolland.Eskild Balschmidt Ebbesen was born in Silkeborg, Midtjylland. He has won a total number of three Olympic and six World Championship gold medals. He was the flag bearer of the opening ceremony of 2004 Olympics. Thomas Ebert won the gold medal in 2004 and 2008 as a part of the men’s team. Morten Jorgensen was a substitute for the crew going into the 2008 Summer Olympics. Poland won the silver and Canada won the bronze medal for the event in Beijing.

2.Martin Kirketerp,Jonas Warrer (49er class sailing team)

The sailing team of Denmark won the gold medal for the 49er class sailing in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Spain won the silver and Germany won the bronze medal. Martin Kirketerp, Jonas Warrer are the players of the Denmark team. Both of them are Danish sailors in the 49er class .The Croatian team lend the Danes their boat, and the Danes went on to finish seventh in the round, which would win them the gold medal. In the medal race in strong winds and rough conditions, the Danes broke their mast just before racing started. The Danes had a 11 point lead in overall points after 12 races over Italy’s Pietro Sibello and Gianfranco Sibello. In this event points were assigned based on the finishing position in each race . If a pair was disqualified or did not complete the race, 20 points were assigned for that race.

3.Casper Jorgensen,Jens-Erik Madsen,Michael Morkov,Alex Nicki Rasmussen (Men’s team pursuit)

The cycling team of Denmark won the silver medal for men’s team pursuit in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Great Britain sets a new world record in men’s team pursuit to won the gold medal by defeating Denmark by 6.7 seconds. Denmark reached the final with victory over France in a time of three minutes, 56.831 seconds. Casper Jorgensen, Jens-Erik Madsen, Michael Morkov, Alex Nicki Rasmussen are the team members. All of them are Danish professional cyclists. Alex Nicki Rasmussen was specialized in track cycling and he was the scratch world champion in 2005. Denmark finished within a time 4:00:040. At the 1,000 meter mark Denmark back by 0.854 seconds from Britain. This increased to 1.701 seconds as the Brits crossed the 2,000 meter mark at 1:59.02. Three thousand meters was hit at 2:56.5 by the Brits, while the Danes were in danger of being lapped.

4.Kim Wraae Knudsen,Rene Holten Poulsen (Men’s K-2 1000 m canoeing team)

The Denmark team won the silver medal for the men’s K-2 1000m canoeing in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Kim Wraae Knudsen,Rene Holten Poulsen are the team members. This competition consists of three rounds,the heats, the semifinals, and the final. All boats compete in the heats. The top 3 in each of the two heats advances directly to the final. The men’s K-2 1000 meters competition in canoing at the 2008 Summer Olympics took place at the Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park in Beijing . Both of the team members are famous Danish flat water canoes. Germany won the gold medal for this event. Denmark finished within 3 minutes 13.580 seconds.

5.Andreas Helgstrand,Nathalie Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg,Anne Van Olst (Equestrian team dressage)

Denmark’s equestrian team won the bronze medal for the team dressage in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Andreas Helgstrand, Nathalie Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, Anne Van Olst are the players. Andreas is an award winning dressage rider. He is most known for riding the 9 year old mare Blue Hors Matine at the Grand Prix level. He was also a part of the team dressage in 2004. Nathalie discovered a love for horses and for riding in early childhood, and has turned her passion into an occupation. She started training in 1994. She won the bronze medal at the European Championship with the Danish team. She also gaining a bronze medal and the world championship 2002. Anne van is also a famous dressage rider. Germany won the gold and Netherlands won the silver medal for this event. It was the first-ever Olympic team dressage medal earned by Denmark.

6.Lotte Friis

Lotte Friis is a swimmer from Horsholm. Now she won the bronze medal for the 800m freestyle in this summer Olympics. She won the bronze medal in 2008 European Championships in Eindhoven for the 1500m freestyle. She also won a gold medal in 2004 Vienna European championships for 800m freestyle. She got a silver medal in 2007 European championships. She practiced in the Allerod Sigma club Allerod, Denmark. Rebecca Adlington of Great Britain won the gold medal for this event. Alessia Filippi of Italy won the silver medal. Lotte Friis finished within a time of 8:23.03 seconds. Lotte is just 20 years old and by winning a bronze medal at her first Olympic Games, she has shown that she is definitely someone to look out for in the future.

7.Rasmus Quist, Mads Reinholdt Rasmussen (Men’s lightweight double sculls)

Denmark’s rowing team won the bronze medal for the men’s lightweight double sculls in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Rasmus Quist, Mads Reinholdt Rasmussen are the players. Great Britain won the gold and Greece won the silver for this event. Rasmus Quist Hansen began his career as a rower in 1992 in Fredensborg Roklub. He had his debut on the national team at the nordic junior championships in 1996. He comes fourth in the 2004 summer Olympics. Rasmussen is a Danish rower and double World Champion in the Lightweight Double Sculls, with his partner Rasmus Quist. Rasmussen and Quist placed fourth in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. He also won the world championships in 2006, 2007 with a gold medal.
