1. Artur Taymazov

Defending Olympic champion Uzbekistan’s Artur Taymazov won the gold medal in 97-130 kg freestyle wrestling in Beijing Olympics. He defeated Russia’s Bakhtiyar Akhmedov in the final of wrestling. Artur Taymazov’s debut Olympics is in Sydney where he won silver medal in 130 kg weight class. In Athens Olympics, he won gold medal in 97-130 kg freestyle wrestling. By winning this medal, he became the Uzbekistan’s first multiple-medalist in Olympics. In Beijing, Artur Taymazov proves that he is the most strongest man in the world by winning this gold medal in wrestling.
2. Abdullo Tangriev

Uzbekistani judoka Abdullo Tangriev won silver medal in +100 kg judo in Beijing Olympics. He was defeated by Satoshi Ishii from Japan. Tangriev is one of the outstanding sportsmen of Uzbekistan winning in several international competitions . He won bronze medals in 2003 and 2007 world championship. He won silver in Busan and bronze medal in Doha Asian games. He is really a strongest sportsman in the world.
3. Soslan Tigiev

Soslan Tigiev of Uzbekistan won silver medal in 74 kg freestyle wrestling in Beijing Olympics. After the tough battle, he was defeated by Buvaysa Saytiev of Russia. Before stepping onto a final he won a victory over his three rivals. In the fist battle, he is defeated the Romanian Georgit Stefan and Emzarios Bentinidis of Greece. At the semi final, he is defeated Murad Gaydarov of Belarus. Soslan Tigiev was also bronze medalist in Doha Asian games.
4. Anton Fokin

Uzbekistan’s strongest gymnasts Anton Fokin won bronze medal in parallel bars in Beijing Olympics. He achieved 16.200 points in the final. Li Xiaopeng of China won gold medal and Yoo Won-chul of the Republic of Korea won silver medal in this event. Anton Fokin had suffered broken hand in many days. But he made a remarkable recovery and won bronze medal in parallel bars in 2007 Stuttgart world championship. Fokin’s bronze medal in Beijing was the first men’s world medal for independent Uzbekistan and he dedicate this medal to the 17th anniversary of Independence of his country.
5. Rishod Sobirov

Rishod Sobirov of Uzbekistan always remembered by Uzbekistan people, because he won bronze medal in 60kg judo in Beijing Olympics. He defeated Dimitri Dragin of France. Rishod won silver medal in 2007 Kuwait Asian championship and won bronze medal in the 2007 World Military Championships. By winning bronze medal, he fulfilled all expectations of his country.
6. Ekaterina Khilko

Ekaterina Khilko bring the first Olympic trampoline medal to the Uzbekistan. She won bronze medal in women’s trampoline event in Beijing Olympics. She scored 36.00 points in the final. He Wenna of China won gold and Canada’s Karen Cockburn won silver in this event. After winning this bronze medal, Ekaterina Khilko said that medal has a special meaning for Uzekistan because its our first medal in trampoline.
