1. Soraya Haddad

Algerian judoka Soraya Haddad won the bronze medal in 52 kg judo in Beijing Olympics. She defeated Kazakhstan’s Sholpan Kaliyeva. This was the first Olympic medal for Algeria in Beijing Olympics. Soraya Haddad was three times African champion and won bronze medal in 48 kg judo in 2005 World Championship. In the World Super Cup, Soraya Haddad has always Algerian judo proud because she finished third in Hamburg in 2005, second in the same city two years later, and second in Paris. Haddad dedicate this bronze medal for the people of Algeria and her family.

2. Amar Benikhlef


Algerian judoka Amar Benikhlef won silver medal in 90 kg judo in Beijing Olympics. This was the second medal for Algeria in Beijing Olympics. He won the silver medal in 2007 All-Africa Games. No one really expect that Amar will won the silver medal, because famous judokas are present in a very tough competition. But Amar won silver medal by defeating famous persons for his country.

After 96 years, Serbia will be making its return to the Olympic Games in 2008. The country represented by 92 qualified competitor in 11 sports at Beijing Olympics and finished with the haul of three medals- one silver and two bronze medals. Serbia showed their the best sports in swimming , tennis. Serbia is particularly strong in tennis at the moment with Novak Djokovic, Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic all doing well in the world rankings. 1.CAVIC MILORAD

He won the silver medal in the men’s 100m Butterfly competition at Beijing Olympics. It is a very realistic goal to win a medal in the 100 butterfly. Cavic, who goes by Mike in the U.S, was sixth in the 100m butterfly at the 2007 World Championships and won the non-Olympic 50m fly at the 2008 European Championships in European record time. Cavic also competed in the 2000 Sydney and 2004 Athens Olympics, but didn’t make the finals either time. He was born in Anaheim, parents are Dusko and Ljiljana Cavic brother-Daniel, is a sophomore basketball player at San Francisco. Cavic started swimming in Southern California at age 9. he first started thinking about competing in the Olympics at age 15, a year before the Sydney Games.

2.DJOKOVIC NOVAK

He won the bronze medal in the men’s single tennis competition at Beijing. This Olympics, his first Summer Olympics. Djokovic played America’s James Blake, the loser of the other semifinal, winning the Bronze Medal after he won 6–3, 7–6. He is very popular Serbian tennis player. He make his his first career Olympic appearance in Beijing this summer. The bronze medal his greatest achievements on his country. Novak Djokovic was born in Belgrade,He has two younger brothers that also hope to be professional tennis players. His father, uncle and aunt were all professional skiers and his father was also an excellent soccer player. Novak Djokovic began playing tennis at the age of four and made his pro debut at age 16.  He is nicknamed Nole. In 2006, he began the year ranked 78th in the world. He is an all-court player and current World No. 3.

3.SEFIK DENIS, PRLAINOVIC ANDRIJA, GOCIC ZIVKO, UDOVICIC VANJA ……. (TEAM)

Serbia team won the silver medal in the men’s water polo sports at Beijing. Hungry earned the gold medal and the united states won the silver, after beating the USA 14-10 to win the gold at the Beijing 2008 Olympics in Beijing, Aleksander Sapic, managed to put seven goals to his name and lead his country to a very successful year on the men’s scene. Zerbia hold record for most European Champuionships won in 2001, 2003, and 2006. Udovici Vanja with national team he has won gold on world championships in 2005. European gold in 2003 and 2006, European gold for juniors in 2000 and Olympic silver in 2004. Dejan Savic played on the bronze medal squad of FR Yugoslavia at the 2000 Summer Olympics and the silver medal squad of Serbia and Montenegro at the 2004 Summer Olympics. The great perteam spirit that is the good enough to earn them victory.
