Sara palin is the Governor of Alaska state of US. By winning the Governor position, she made the histroy that she is the first woman and the youngest person of that position. She was elected as governor of Alaska in November 2006 by defeating the incumbent governor Frank Murkowski in Republican primary election and defeating Democratic governor Tony Knowles in the general election. As a Governor, she give priorities in resource development, education and workforce development, public health and safety, and transportation and infrastructure development. Under her leadership, Alaska made many progress. She implemented the senior benefits program that provides support for low-income older Alaskans. She created Alaska’s Petroleum Systems Integrity Office to provide oversight and maintenance of oil and gas equipment, facilities and infrastructure, and the Climate Change Subcabinet to prepare a climate change strategy for Alaska. She also served two terms on the Wasilla City Council and two terms as the mayor of Wasilla. She also chaired Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission. She was also the Republican Party’s vice-presidential nominee for the 2008 US election. She is married to Todd Palin and have five children. She is a social conservative and has deep religious convictions. Her interests are spread in sports, haunting, fishing etc.
