
Now Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt is the fastest man in the world. He set new world and Olympic records for 100m, 200m and 4×100 m in Beijing Olympics. By winning these records, he became the first man to win all three events at a single Olympics since Carl Lewis in 1984, and the first man in history to set world records in all three at a single Olympics. Bolt was born Trelawny, Jamaica as the son of Jennifer and Wellesley Bolt. As a child, his interests was in other sports like cricket and football. But his cricket coach noticed his speed on pitch and he changed Bolt’s interests in track and field events. Then he coached by McNeil and Dwayne Barrett. In 2001, he won his first annual high school championships medal taking the silver medal in the 200 meters. His first appearance on the world stage at the 2001 IAAF World Youth Championships in Hungary in 200m, but he did not qualify for the final. In 2002, World junior championship, he won the gold medal in 200m. In 2007 Osaka World championship, he won silver medal in 200m and 4×100 m relay. He earned a nick name “‘Lightning’ Bolt” due to his achievements. Bolt likes dance and he is always in relaxing mood.
