
Tina Fey is an American writer, comedian, actress and producer. She is one of the most talented comedy writers in the entertainment industry. She is best known for her work on Mean Girls, Saturday Night Live (SNL)series for NBC. Recently her acting as Sara Palin, the republican vice presidential nominee in 30 Rock, a situation comedy series, bring very famous to her. She is a writer on SNL in 1997. She is also acting in SNL. After leaving SNL, she started a new series named 30 Rock in which she portrays many famous people. She also acted in the movie Baby Mama. She was born in Pennsylvania as the daughter of Zenobia Jeanne and Donald Fey. Fey is married to Jeff Richmond, a composer on SNL and have a daughter. She is also known as committed environmentalist and supported humanitarian causes, such as the Mercy Corps world hunger center in New York City. After gaining graduation from the University of Virginia, she joined the improvisational theatre The second city. Improvisation make an important influence on her. She became a head writer for NBC’s Saturday Night Live (SNL). In SNL’s 25th anniversary special, Fey won a 2001 Writers Guild of America Award. In 2002, she and her staff writers won Emmy award for their work on the show. In 2008, she won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical, and won a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance in the comedy series.
