CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA - REVIEW

Now that’s a perfect Kungfu comedy movie from Akshay Kumar. It’s rumored that it’s his true life story. The story is fresh and Bollywoods first ever Kungfu comedy film. The movie is directed by Nikhil Advani and the release date is 16th January 2009. Akshya and Deepika Padukone is pairing for their first time on screen. They played main characters in this movie, and they share love interest on a screen. This movie had another specialty that it is shot mainly in China and the first Hindi movie to be shot over there. There is another peculiarity that this movie is an adaptation from a South Indian Malayalam movie named “Yodha” starred  Mohanlal. So the script of the movie is not new but the locations, songs and costumes are very new. They had completely absorbed Chinese’s beauty into celluloid. Akshay Kumar is one of the hottest stars in Bollywood. All of his movies are blockbusters, and he is the guaranteed star in Bollywood. He had 5 hits in a row and his last movie “Singh is King” became the box-office record. His acting skills are tremendous and he can make people burst into laugh. Once again, Akshay is proving that he can handle any roles. Deepika’s role is also noted. She is playing as a Chinese girl. The technicals used for the fights are really interesting and great to watch.

CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA - RATINGS

The movie opened with a good collection of audience. I think all of them have the impact of Akshays last hit movie “Singh is King”.But after the movie they do comment that its not as much of Singh is King. Its a fully comedy movie and Akshay has done it perfectly. The comedy sequences are very well done by Akshay. The movie is a combo of action and comedy. Akshay Kumar’s recent films have all had chart busters in terms of the songs and so people are looking forward to the music of Chandni Chowk to China. I think the producers, Warner Bros will get happy by the result. We would give a rating of 3.5/5 for this movie “Chandini Chowk To China”.
