81st ACADEMY AWARD WINNERS

Now this is the day(22nd Feb 2009) of celebrations for the Oscar winners. The pandemic of Oscar fever has yet finished and redeemed to the results. “SlumDog Millionaire” won most of the awards that it has been nominated. Out of 10 nominations it had won 8 Oscars in this night. This will be the day for Slumdogs crew for party and they are on the top of the world. All the crew of this team walked the red carpet and onto the stage for receiving “Best Picture” award. It was one of the historic moment of all the Indians and the crew. A.R Rahman became the first Indian to receive 2 Oscars. A. R. Rahman is the first Indian national to receive three Oscar nominations and the first Asian to receive three Oscar nominations in the same year. They all are having a very big time in Oscars and after the ceremony also they are planning for many trips. When late Heath Ledger was awarded posthumously for the “Best Supporting actor”, it was one of the sad moment at Oscars. His parents and sister received the award and it became a wonderful moment for remembering him and an award to make his name live for ever. Ledger is responsible for making the persona of “The Joker” character to higher levels. The style that he had created for this villain character was superb and he definitely had succeed it and deserved this award. The award presented for “Best Actress in a leading role” and “Best Actor in a leading role” was presented in a classic way. All the classic actors praised the nominees for the actor/actress. Australian performer Hugh Jackman hosted the ceremony for the first time. Now lets check out the winners of Oscars at all categories.
