DOM DELUISE
Hollywood lost their favorite comedy actor Dom Deluise. Dom Deluise was dead on 4th May at Santa Monica hospital in Los Angeles after a long illness. He was an actor, comedian, chef, film director, television producer and author of many books. He appeared in many famous films, TV shows and Broadway plays and also gave voices for numerous cartoon characters. “The Twelve Chairs,” “Blazing Saddles” and “The Cannonball Run,” are his famous films.
BIOGRAPHY
Comedy actor Dom Deluise was born in Brooklyn, New York as the son of Italian parents Vincenza “Jennie” and John DeLuis. He gained his education from Manhattan’s High School of Performing Arts and from University in Medford, Massachusetts. He is married to actor Carol Arthur and they had 3 sons. Deluise was started his acting career on television in the early 1960s. In 1964, he was a regular performer in the television show “The Entertainers”. He acted with famous American actor Burt Reynolds in many films including “The Cannonball Run” and “Cannonball Run II”, “Smokey and the Bandit II”, “The End” etc. He was also a host of the television show “Candid Camera”. He was a regular actor in famous director Mel Brooks’ movies including “The Twelve Chairs”, “Blazing Saddles”, “Silent Movie”, ” Robin Hood: Men in Tights” etc. He give his pleasant voice for animated features and series including “The Secret of NIMH”, “An American Tail”, “All Dogs Go to Heaven” and other cartoons and related sequels, series, and video games. He is also a singer and sang opera in “Die Fledermaus”with the New York Metropolitan. He is also loved to cook and did many cooking demonstrations on television and wrote several cookbooks including, “Eat This … It’ll Make You Feel Better!” and “Eat This Too!: It’ll Also Make You Feel Better”. He is also the author of children’s books including “Charlie the Caterpillar”, “Goldilocks”, “There’s No Place Like Home” etc. This comedian will always alive in the hearts of all comedy lovers with his pleasant nature.
