Twenty20 cricket is really a fast food of cricket. We can see immediate results of cricket match through Twenty20 cricket match. So Twenty20 cricket becomes favorite of all cricket lovers in the world. It was introduced in the United Kingdom in 2003. This match was played between two teams and each team will get 20overs and each bowler will get 4 overs to bowl. Time schedule of this games is about two and half hours and each innings lasting around 75 minutes. The basic rules and laws of Twenty 20 cricket are fundamentally the same as ODI cricket match. But some interesting rules are also added to make Twenty 20 cricket match more exciting. In these rules, some important rules are “Free Hit” and “Super Over”. In the rule of “Free Hit”, if one ball is no ball, then the next ball shall be a Free Hit. For this ball,the batsman is not given given out by any way in the cricket rules. “Super over” is actually a tie breaker in T20 cricket which means if both the teams total are tied then each team can again play a “Mini-match” in only one over.The team who takes maximum runs in the super over will be considered as the winner of the match. There is a criticism about this match. Some criticized that twenty20 cricket is a batsman’s game and also there is a little role of bowlers in this game. But Twenty20 cricket really create a lively form of the game which would be attracted to many people in the world.

Now, the Twenty20 cricket has spread around the cricket world. Every cricket team included domestic Twenty 20 cricket tournaments on their annual cricket calendars. To boost this 20-20 cricket, International Cricket Council (ICC) organized an international championship name “ICC World Twenty20 ” for every two year. 12 cricket teams are participated in this World Cup. First 20-20 World cup was held on South Africa in 2007. In this tournament, India become the first World T20 Champions by defeating Pakistan by 5 runs in the final at Johannesburg. The second 20-20 World cup will be held on June in England. 12 teams are participating in this tournament and all the teams are divided in the four groups as given below,
Group A : India, Bangladesh, Ireland
Group B : Pakistan, England, Netherlands
Group C : Australia, Srilanka, West Indies
Group D : South Africa, New Zealand, Scottland
The ICC T20 World Cup 2009 will be starts from June 5th Friday, 2009 and the first match is between the teams England and Netherlands. This World Cup ends on June 21, Sunday 2009 with the final at London. So get ready for watching this most exciting cricketing event in coming days.
