India’s number one car maker Maruti Suzuki’s smallest car “Maruti Ritz” was launched on 15th May 2009 in India. It is the good achievement of this company, because this new model is the 8th new model of this company within 48 months following the launch of Swift, Zen Estilo, SX4, Swift Diesel, Grand Vitara, Swift Dzire and A-star. In the A-2 segments, Maruti Ritz will be the 9th offering for the customers by Maruti Suzuki. In addition, it is the fifth global model for the Maruti Suzuki India after the launch of Swift, Grand Vitara, SX4 & A-Star. It is known as the “Suzuki Splash” abroad. Ritz will be available in five variants, three petrol and two diesel with different engine capacities of new K-series 1.2 liter, four-cylinder, 85PS Petrol engine and the super-successful 1.3 litre, 16-valve DDiS, 75PS Diesel engine. Price of this smallest car starting from Rs 3.90 lakh to Rs 4.99 lakh. This car comes with Maruti Suzuki’s standard set of safety features like ABS, airbags, brake assists, ASP, etc. It is a front wheel drive car that is equipped with the second generation K12M petrol engine to offer more power and high fuel efficiency than any other cars. It is a small family car that is built by keeping in mind middle class family. More space is available inside this car. The rear seat is set higher than the front seats so all occupants get a good view out, and all seats are comfortable to sit. This car has a lot of storage space including a flip-lid box on top of the dashboard, a fair glove box and a tray ahead of the front passenger, but non-slip surfaces would make them more usable. Hope that Ritz will be positioned between the A-star and the Swift and will compete on Hyundai’s i10 and i20, Skoda’s Fabia, Ford’s Fusion, Fiat’s Palio and Tata Motors’ Indica Vista. It is a good choice for a family car, and it is a perfect vehicle for the Indian condition. It comes in Indian roads in eight vibrant colors including Glistening Grey, Racing Green, Bakers Chocolate, Firebrick Red, Blue Blaze, Silky Silver, Midnight Black, Superior White.
