G.K. Vasan is an Indian politician belonging to the Indian National Congress Party. Now,he has been included in the second season of Ministers in the Central Cabinet. Now he is selected in the cabinet of Manmohan Singh Government as Minister of Shipping. He was also an elected to Rajya Sabha in 2004.

BIOGRAPHY

G.K.Vasan was born in 1964 Sundara Perumalkoil, Tamil Nadu as the son of  late Veteran Congress leader Thiru.G K Moopanar who formed a political party in Tamil Nadu known as the “Tamil Mannila Congress” and Kasthuri Moopanar. G.K.Vasan was did his B.A.Corporate Secretaryship education from “The New college, Madras University”, Chennai. After the death his father, the party  elected G K Vasan as its leader. He was married to Sunitha and they have a son. In his political career, he was positioned in many fields including the President of Tamil Maanila Congress in 2001, In 2002, he was an elected to Rajya Sabha and a memeber of Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Agriculture in 2004. From 2003 to 2004, member of the Committee on Urban and Rural Development and Secretary of All Indian Congress Committee in 2002 to 2003.He was a member of Committee on Subordinate Legislation on June 2003 to July 2004. From 2003 to 2006, he was served as the President of Tamil Nadu Congress Committee, member of Committee on Coal and Stell and also member of Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Urban Development in 2006. He was a Minister of Statistics “amp and Programme Implementation in 2006. He is also involved in social and cultural activities. He has a trustee of “Thyagaraja Mahotsav Sabha”, Thiruvaiyaru in Tamil Nadu and he was also member of the “Tamil Nadu Cricket Association”, “Cosmopolitan Club”, Chennai and “Constitution Club”, New Delhi.

Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Farooq Abdullah has bagged in cabinet of Manmohan Singh’s Govt as minister of New and Renewable Energy. He is one of the most respected leader of the  National Conference Party.Farooq Abdullah is one of good qualified and highly experienced politician of Indian politics.The Indian people had great respect to this person.

BIOGRAPHY

Farooq Abdullah was born in 1936 in Soura,Jammu & Kashmir as the son of of Sheikh Abdullah, the former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir and doctor of medicine. Farooq Abdullah gained his M.B.B.S degree from “S.M.S.Medical College”, Jaipur. He is a medical practitioner by profession and he is married to Mollie Abdullah,a nurse of British origin and they have three daughters and a son. His son, Omar Abdullah has remained a member of the Lok Sabha for three terms and has become Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. Farooq Abdullah was an active member of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front which demands complete independence for the whole of Jammu and Kashmir.He is senior leader of National Conference party. Farooq Abdullah was appointed president of the National Conference in Srinagar in 1981 and later became the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir in 1984. But his government was dismissed and a pro-Congress government was established. In1996 assembly elections, Farooq returned to power and again selected as the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. In his political career, he was positioned in many fields including the member of the Lok sabha in 1980 to 1982, member of Kashmir Legislative councils in 1983, Minister of Health Government of Jammu and Kashmir, member of Jammu and kashmir Legislative Assembly etc. Also he was elected to Rajya Sabha in 2003, member of the committee on Defence in 2004, member of the Parliamentary forum on Population and Public Health in 2006 and also member of the Consultative for the Ministry of Civil aviation in 2006. In 2009 Lok Sabha elections, he contested from Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency and won by huge margin of votes and was appointed as the minister of New and Renewable Energy.
