SAMSUNG ‘SOLAR GURU’ E1107

Now, there is no need to electricity to charge a mobile phone, because the world’s largest handset manufacturer ‘Samsung’ has recently introduced a solar-powered mobile phone titled ‘Solar Guru E1107′ in Indian market. The Samsung India demanded that “Guru E1107″ is the first solar-powered mobile phone in the world. It is a very low cost mobile phone with price of Rs 2799. This new phone is chargeable both by solar power and electricity. The handsets were imported from south Korea and will be available in the Indian market from the middle of this June under the company’s low-cost `Guru’ series.

FEATURES OF SAMSUNG ‘GURU’ E1107

Samsung ‘Guru’ E1107 supports dual GSM bands (900/1800MHz) and includes a 1.52-inches 65K CSTN screen, FM Radio, MP3 ring tones, embedded games, torch light, Mobile Tracker, Fake Call and a 800m Ah battery. Apart from the above, the Solar Guru also offers the very advanced feature called “Mobile prayer”. This comprises of various religious prayers and wall papers. The Guru E1107 is designed for people in rural areas and the phone can provide 5-10 minutes of talk-time with one-hour of solar charging and the compact design with dimension 105.2 x 44.15 x 16.4mm. The solar panel of the phone consumes 40 hours to fully charge the phone and the fully charged phone offers 12-hour long talk time.

Famous director Ashutosh Gowariker’s historical romance film “Jodhaa Akbar” really shinned in the 10th edition of IIFA awards in Macau. This film bagged 10 awards including a best film, best actors, best director awards in this edition of IIFA. Through this film, people’s heartthrob Hrithik Roshan won a best actor award and the director Ashutosh Gowariker won a best director award for his historic love film. Oscar-winning musician A R Rahman won the best music director award for the same film and Javed Ali gained the best male playback singer award for his voice in the song ‘Jashn-e-bahaara’ in ‘Johdaa Akbar’. Furthermore, the famous Bollywood writer Javed Akhtar won the best lyricist award for the song ‘Jashn-e-bahaara‘ for this film. This film also bagged awards in best editing, best makeup, best art direction, best costume in this edition of IIFA. “Jodhaa Akbar” tells the rise of the great Mughal emperor Akbar in the 16th century in India and his romance with Hindu princess Jodhaa. This film displays Akbar’s marriage with the Hindu princess and how their romance shapes the course of history. Famous actors Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya rai were appeared in the role of Akbar and Jodha.

Historical romantic film “Jodhaa Akbar” centers around the romance between the 16th century Mughal Emperor, Akbar and his Rajput princess wife, Jodhabai. Emperor Akbar had to fight many battles to gain the control over the empire, he extended his rule and made policies that helped two main cultures and religions come closer. At that time relationship between Mughals and Rapjputs was not good. However, with threatens and brute force, Akbar won the loyalty of the Rajputs. Rajputs always considered Akbar as a foreign attacker. In order to strengthen the Mugal relationship with the Rajputs, Akbar was married to Rajput princess Jodha. This movie tells us an untold story of love between Akbar and Jodha. When Jodha entered Akbar’s life, she refused to be treated just like a mere gift from Rajputs. This is the story how Akbar won her heart, assured her that she is not just the queen of India but also the queen of Akbar’s Heart. Oscar’s winner A.R Rahman is composed music of this film and all the songs are very good. Hrithik Roshan performed very well in the challenging role of Akbar. Furthermore, Aishwarya Rai’s beauty really revealed in the princess Jodha. This film faced criticism from Rajput community, and it has been banned by the States of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana and Uttarakhand. They said that Rajputs are presented as evil people in this film. Moreover, certain Rajput groups claimed Jodha was married to Akbar’s son, Jahangir, not Akbar and Akbar’s Rajput wife was never known as “Jodha Bai” during the Mughal period. This film was released on 15th February 2008, and it becomes a super hit in the box office.

MUSIC

Historic epic “Jodhaa Akbar” includes five beautiful songs and two instrumental songs. These were composed by the music genius A. R Rahman for the lyrics of famous lyricist Javed Akhtar. First song “Azeem-O-Shaan Shahenshah” is a introduction song of emperor Akbar, which is very beautiful with roaring horns and booming drums. “Jshn-e-bahaara” is a romantic song and the song “In Lamhon Ke Daaman Mein” was taken to the world of lovers. “Jodhaa Akbar” got good responses from all over the world. It was one of the best movies in 2008. The performances of Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai are excellent in this film. Musics provided by A. R Rahman is excellent and the song ‘Azeem oh Shan Shahenshah’ is definitely one of the best ever pictured songs in the history of Indian Cinema. The battle sequences are captured very well and Cinematography is international standards. After all it is a classic masterpiece that is remembered for a long time.

Also got the best film and best actor award in “Golden Minbar International Film Festival of Muslim Cinema” and won “Audience Award for Best Foreign Language Film” in Sao Paulo International Film Festival. It gained nominations for “Asia Pacific Screen Awards” and “3rd Asian Film Awards”. Now this film won 10 awards in the 10th edition of IIFA awards in Macau.
