The Indian Film Industry will never forget her name because she is one of the most talented actresses in Bollywood Industry. Now, she has won the ‘2009 IIFA Award ‘ for the ‘Best Female Actor’ for her lead role in Madhur Bhandarkar’s film “Fashion”. Her other competitors in this category where Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Asin, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif. Priyanka has also gained three awards for ‘best actress’ at every award function including 54th Idea Filmfare Awards, Star Screen Award and now IIFA Award of this year.
BIOGRAPHY
The Bollywood Actress Priyanka Chopra was born on July 18, 1982 in Jamshedpur as the daughter of Dr. Ashol Chopra and Dr.Madhu Chopra. She has a brother named Siddharth. She did her education from “Army School” in Bareily and from “Jai Hind college” in Mumbai. She was also completed 10th grade from “Boston”, USA and her ambition was to become a software engineer or a criminal psychologist. She was considered her selection at the state level for the National Opus Honor Choir as her major achievement in the US. She was participated in the “Femina Miss India contest” and went on to win the title of “Femina- Miss India World”. She was also crowned ‘Miss world’ in 2000, and then she was moved on to films. Priyanka made her acting debut in Bollywood film titled ” Andaaz” in 2002 and also debuted in a Tamil movie titled ‘Thamizhan’ in the same year, opposite Tamil superstar Vijay. She won “Filmfare Best Female Debut Award” for “Andaaz” movie. Her next Movie was in Bollywood ‘The Hero: Love Story of a Spy’. Then the following year, she has done successful roles in Bollywood movies, such as ‘Abbas-Mustan’s Aitraaz’ in 2004. In the same year, her film “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi” was released, and became the third highest grossing film of that year. In 2005, several films of were released, though most did not do well at the box office . Her other hit films are including ‘Krrish‘ and ‘Don -The Chase Begins Again’ in 2006, ‘Salaam-e-Ishq‘ and ‘A Tribute To Love’ in 2007. ‘Love Story 2050′, ‘God Tussi Great Ho’, ‘Chamku and Drona’ in 2008 and her most recent films are ‘Fashion’ and ‘Dostana’ which is succeeded at the box office. Priyanka has gained all three awards for ‘best actress’ at the “54th Idea Filmfare Awards”, “Star Screen Award 2009″ and now “IIFA Award 2009″ for her stunning performance in “Fashion” Movie. In 2009, she will be appearing in Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Kaminey’, Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘What’s Your Raashee?’ and ‘Jugal Hansraj’s Pyaar Impossible’. After the success of “Fashion”, she became a more and more popular actress in the film world.

Also won “Bengal Film Journalists’ Association Awards” for Best Actress for ‘Aitraaz’, “Star’s Sabsey Favorite Kaun Awards for ‘Sabsey Tez Sitara’, “POGO Awards” for Most Amazing Actress for ‘Krrish’, “AIFA Awards” for Best On-Screen Beauty for ‘Krrish’. Priyanka Chopra has received the “Nielsen Box Office Award” for an outstanding contributions to Asian films at the third annual Asian Film Awards. Now, Priyanka has also gained awards for ‘best actress’ at the 54th “Idea Filmfare Awards”, “Star Screen Award 2009″ and now “IIFA Award 2009″ for her stunning performance in “Fashion” Movie.
