HP Z SERIES WORKSTATIONS

HP is a largest technology company in a world. Now, it has launched its new Z series of workstations in India. The new HP ‘Z’ workstation series including HP Z800, HP Z600 and HP Z400. The new creation was developed in join collaboration with BMW Design Works, the German auto major R & D and Consultancy wing. The workstations are very high-end micro computer especially designed for technical or scientific applications, and it’s also offering higher performance comparison to personal computers. The Z series is expecting to be priced, Z400 starts at under $1,000, the Z600 costs about $1,700 while the high-end Z800 is $2,000.

The new Z series workstations are powered by the Intel Xeon 5500 processor series. It is having a smooth design with brushed aluminum side panels, tool-fewer access chassis, integrated handles, and visually cable-less engineering. It also provides easy serviceability from the power supply to the motherboard. It uses DASH Management Technology and also uses hardware and software inventory capabilities that are available all time to give an accurate response.  These series also include a new HP-exclusive WattSaver feature that manages power in the “off” state at less than one watt. In addition, used efficient power supplies, which reduce energy usage and the amount of waste heat released. The HP Z800 Workstation is a HP’s most powerful workstation. It’s working with applications such as 3-D animation, broadcast video, oil and gas discovery, and medical imaging.The HP Z600 Workstation offers high performance in a compact size for professionals in industries such as video production, finance, and midrange CAD.The HP Z400 Workstation is an entry-level workstation. It’s offering top Intel processor performing at affordable prices for professionals working in video editing, photography, design and engineering. The HP Z400 is the first single-socket workstation based on the Next-Generation Intel Micro architecture (Nehalem) and can be built with the latest Intel Xeon processors. The HP Z400 Workstation also comes with a liquid-cooling option.

HP is one of the largest software companies in the world. The company’s full name is ‘Hewlett-Packard’ and also known as ‘HP’. Its headquarters is located  in Palo Alto, California, United States. The stanford University electrical engineering classmates Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard are founded HP on January 1 in 1939. The company’s first product was an audio oscillator,an electronic test instrument used by sound engineers. They worked on an audio oscillator in a garage in Palo Alto, California. The Company’s first customers was Walt Disney Studios, who bought several of Model 200B oscillators for test an innovative sound systems installed in theaters for the movie ‘Fantasia’. Later on in the sixties, HP ended up becoming the founder of Silicon Valley. They got into semi conductors in the early sixties and by 1966, they entered the computer market with the HP 2100and the HP1000. In 1984, HP was introduced both inkjet and laser printers for the desktop. Now, HP printers are leading the country in reliable printing supplies and devices. Many different models are available making them suitable for home, small business and corporate use. HP’s first computer, designed as a controller for test and measuring instruments, was also introduced in 1966. At the moment, the company provides one of the technical world’s most comprehensive portfolios of hardware, software, and services. Its products include personal computers, servers, storage devices, printers, and networking equipment. This largest software company operates in more than 170 countries around the world and also one of the market leaders in the global PC market.
