‘Pazhassiraja’ movie is based on the life of one famous ruler of Kerala named Pazhassiraja. It is totally a historic subject. The Oscar winner ‘Resul Pookkutty’ will debut in his home language industry through this film. It is a much awaited historical movie written by M T Vasudevan nair and directed by ace director Hariharan. The Malayalam Mega star Mammotty plays the role of ‘Pazhassiraja’. This movie also celebrates the partnership of Hariharan and Mammotty after 18 years. Hariharan, MT Vasudevan Nair and Mammootty, are sure that this film that will become a milestone in Malayalam cinema. The movie fans across the World are waiting to see this movie. It is expected to release in October 2. This film would be releasing in most of the major languages like Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. This movie is one of the biggest budget movies in Malayalam.

ABOUT THE MOVIE

Pazhassi Raja is a historical movie .It tells the story about a King,  who belong to Kottayam royal family, fought against the Britishers. Pazhassi raja was the first Indian,  who fought against British in 1796. He was popularly known as the ‘Lion of Kerala’. He had to fight with the armies of the Mysore rulers as well as the British. The British first used him against Tipu’s army and then reneged on their treaty. He was against the unpopular revenue policy followed by the East India Company in Malabar. He threatened the company for collecting taxes. In 1857, Raja’s spear headed an attack against the British,  who made a futile attempt to capture the Raja in his own palace at Pazhassi in April 1796. In 1797, Raja’s men attacked security personnel stationed at Pazhassi. This will result in a continuous battle over 3 days. After this, Pazhassi to impose a defeat on the British that they were forced to retreat and negotiate. The British to sign a  temporary armistice, in accordance with Raja’s wishes. In 1799, Raja once again opposed the British when they decided to take over Wynad. However, this time British had an upper hand. They announced to seize the properties of Raja and also promise a reward  for capturing him. Raja took refuge in jungles with his family. He tried to continue his warfare. But on November 30 1805, he was surrounded by the British army and was shot dead in the operation on the banks of Mavila Thodu. Most of the important scenes of the movie are shot with four cameras working simultaneously.

MUSIC

The movie got beautiful songs . The song “Aalamadankala mythavanalle” with its dramatic Islamic sound makes excellent use of chorus vocals.The other beautiful song in this movie is “adhiushas sandhya poothathivide” takes a classic Ilayaraja tune to a newer level with that dreamy, expansive orchestration. The song sung by K.S chitra “Kunnathe konnakyum” is also a beautiful melodious song.The songs in this movie are well picturised.

The US auto giant ‘Ford Motor’ Company is now ready for competing in India’s largest and most important small car market segment by launching its small car in Indian market. Today, this company unveiled their smallest car ‘Ford Figo’ in New Delhi. The Figo, an Italian word, that means ‘cool’ will be produced from the Chennai plant of Ford and launched in markets by early 2010. This small car will be targeted for both domestic sales and exports in Asia Pacific and African regions. Ford Figo has been designed and developed to supply to the needs of the Indian small car segment.  It comes with the same attractive design like Ford Focus, Ford Mondeo and the Ford Fiesta. From the sides and rear, the Figo looks like the Ford Fusion, with a front, it looks like Ford Fiesta or Ford Ikon. It also includes sculpted shapes to the body side, chiseled front fenders, a ‘comet tail’ undercut in the doors and additional light-catching sculpting in the lower body side. The wheels of Figo are placed in its four corners so that the car suffers minimal overhang. Its large side window shape aimed at the comfort and spaciousness of travelers. In addition, this four door hatchback car will be available in Diesel and petrol engine variants and the price of this smallest car is not unveiled. Hope that, this car will be competing with the other cars of Tata Motors, Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki etc in the future.

The American automaker ‘Ford Motors’ is always maintaining high position in the history of car manufacturing industry. It is considered as the world’s fifth largest automaker followed by famous automakers like Toyota, General Motors, Volkswagen and Hyundai-Kia. It is founded by Henry Ford in 1903 and its head quarters is located in at Dearborn, Michigan. Ford created a big revolution in American Car manufacturing industry. Today, this company manufactures automobiles under several names including Lincoln and Mercury in the United States, and also it is spread in all around the world. Their world wide brands are Aston Martin, Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercury and Volvo. Ford started their operation in India in 1988 with the introduction of ‘Ford Escort’ model. In 2001, it produced ‘Ford Ikon’, which attracted many Indian car lovers. The ‘Fusion’, ‘Fiesta’, ‘Mondeo‘ and ‘Endeavourare other car models of Ford. Now Ford Motors’ car is very popular among the people of the world.
