INDIA VS AUSTRALIA 2009 ODI SERIES
The cricket fans all over the world waiting of the upcoming cricket series between India and Australia. The Australian cricket team will tour India from October 25 to November 11, 2009. The series consist of 7 ODI’s. India’s dashing duo Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh returned to India’s 15-member squad. The Vetran batsman Rahul Dravid who failed to impress selectors failed to enter the squad. There will be a two-day gap between most of the fixtures, there will be just a day’s rest between the 3rd and 4th ODIs, to be played in New Delhi and Mohali respectively. Mumbai will host the last ODI between India and Australia on November 11th 2009. All matches are played as day and night. The matches except 6th ODI starts at a local time 14:30 and GMT 09:00. The 6th ODI starts from 9.00am onwards. Australia is more confident than India by winning the Champion trophy 2009. At the same time, India would look back to come strongly against Australia in their attempt to compensate for their poor show in Champions Trophy. Australia captured the previous 7 match series in India with 4-2. Recently, the team India not played well . They lost the ICC World Twenty20 2009 and Champions Trophy 2009. So the Indian cricket fans expecting a strong performance from the team. However, India’s performance in the bi- lateral series is not at all bad. They did not lose any of their bi-lateral ODI series since their defeat to Australia at home in September-October 2007. Indian team would like to give their best in the upcoming series. It would be a huge test for Australia in India, and they would not find it easy to break Dhoni and his men, given India’s home advantage and return of Virender Sehwag in the team.
