VOLKSWAGEN POLO

German luxury car manufacturer Volkswagen is now ready for competing in the India’s small car market with their small car ‘Volkswagen Polo’. The company plans to launch this car in Indian market in the first half of 2010. This small car is already available at European market, and it got huge popularity there because of its stylish looks, performance, advanced features and affordable price. In India, this premium hatchback car will be manufacturing from the recently inaugurated Volkswagen plant in Chakan. ‘Volkswagen Polo’ is a stylish car which has been posh interiors  and comes with a lot of advanced features including the active safety features like ABS with EBD and dual front and side curtain airbags. This has built on the popular PQ25 platform and its other features include new TDI and TSI engines, 7-speed dual clutch transmission, power range from 44 kW/60 Bhp to 77 kW/105 Bhp according to the engine, 4 varieties of engines, standard ESP electronic stabilization program with Hill Hold Control, most fuel efficient and lowest emitting five-seater diesel in the world, 5-star EuroNCAP rating, for better dynamics and higher efficiency body weight reduced by 7.5 percent etc. It would be available in the petrol and the diesel engine variant at the price  range of Rs 4 to 5 lacs. Hope that this car will compete with other small cars like  Maruti Swift, Maruti Ritz, Fiat Punto, Honda Jazz, Hyundai i10, Hyundai i20 and Skoda Fabia in the future.

VOLKSWAGEN INDIA

‘ Volkswagen’ is the famous car manufacturer in Germany. It is a number one car maker in Europe, and it is well known for its extraordinary services and high customer satisfaction.  It started its operation in India in 2006 and build a production plant in Pune in Maharashtra. Initially, it brought locally produced vehicles to the Indian market and later the supply of Volkswagen Passenger Cars increased. Then the Group has established a separate Indian sales company in 2007 named “Volkswagen Group Sales India Private Limited”, which distributed locally manufactured and imported vehicles in India. They launched three latest models namely VW Passat Highline DSG S, VW Passat Highline DSG, and VW Touareg in India.   With the vehicles safetty features, size and drive technologies, this company made a huge success in the Indian market.
