The famous electronics company, ‘Sony’ is going to compete in the computer market with the launch of world’s slimmest and lightest ultra portable laptop titled ‘VAIO X series’ in India. This laptop weighs merely 655gms and is about half an inch thin. It has a carbon fiber frame and aluminum keyboard. In addition, it is packed with 1.1″ wide screen LCD with LED backlight technology, Intel Atom processor, 2GB of RAM, 2x USB, Gigabit Ethernet and VGA, Bluetooth connectivity, mic, headphone jack and card slots for Memory Stick and SD media, built-in motion eye camera, 31Wh removable battery, 3G HSPA mobile broadband connectivity, Windows 7 operating system etc. Furthermore, VAIO’s Everywair WWAN technology allows to log on the internet without a WiFi hotspot. It offers a multi-touch track pad and battery life is an impressibe eight hour. Sony VAIO X series comes in two models VPCX113KG for Rs.64990 and VPCX117LG for Rs.84990 with one year international warranty. Hope that this ultra slim portable computer will compete with Apple’s Macbook Air in the future. Sony company selected the famous Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor as the brand ambassador to promote this laptop.
