JAMES ANDERSON
With the help of fast bowler James Anderson’s five wickets, England won the fourth ODI match against South Africa by seven wickets at St George’s Park, Port Elizabeth. Anderson took 5 wickets just giving 23 runs and restricted South Africa’s score just 119 runs, which were their lowest score in a ODI match in their own country.
BIOGRAPHY
England’s right arm pace bowler, James Michael Anderson was born on 30th July 1982 in Burnley, England. He gained his school education from ‘St Theodore’s RC High School’, Burnley. His childhood dream was to be a cricketer and he played cricket for ‘Burnley Cricket Club’ in his younger age. He started his domestic career with ‘Lancashire’ cricket club in 2002, and he become the most promising young county player of that club in the 2002 season. Totally, Anderson took 188 wickets from 48 first-class matches and 66 wickets in 44 list A matches for ‘Lancashire’. He started his international career in ODI match against Australia in 2002. He showed wonderful performance in ‘2003 World Cup’. He took four wickets in a match against Pakistan and also gained ‘Man of the Match’ award in this world cup. He is the first English gainer of hat trick in ODI. He gained a hat trick in a match against Pakistan in 2003. In 2003, he made his first Test cricket appearance against Zimbabwe and gained 5 wickets in his debut match. Andersen becamethe “golden boy” of England team after the test series against South Africa . In that test series, he gained 15 wickets. Due to the injuries, he cannot be able play many tournaments. He was also included in the England squad for the World Twenty20 in 2007, and he took three wickets in that world cup. Actually, he represented England in 40 Test matches and over 100 ODI matches. He is always comparing to the famous football player David Beckham due to the continued alteration of hair styles, attractive looks and dresses. In addition to the criket, he loves football and is a big supporter of Arsenal football club. He married to a model Daniella Lloyd and they have a daughter Lola Rose.
