Brittany Murphy passed away on yesterday in Los Angeles due to cardiac arrest. Brittany won the hearts of movie lovers through her performance in the films like “Clueless” and “8 Mile”. She was also famous as a singer and a voice artist.

BIOGRAPHY

American actor and singer Brittany Murphy was born on 10th November, 1977 in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S as the daughter of Sharon Murphy and Angelo Bertolotti. At the age of two, her parents were divorced, and she lived with her mother in California. She started her acting career at the age of 14 in television series. Her first appearance was as Brenda Drexell in the series ‘Dexell’s Class’. After that, she acted in many television series including ‘Parker Lewis Can’t Lose’, ‘Blossom’, ‘Frasier’, ‘Sister’, ‘Party of Five’ and ‘Boy Meets World’. After that, she appeared in many successful films including ‘Clueless’,'Girl;, ‘Interrupted’, ‘Drop Dead Gorgeous’, ‘Don’t Say a Word’. She rose into the celebirty through the film ‘8 Mile’. She also did comedy roles in the film ‘Little Black Book’. Her character, Cilla in the lifetime TV movie ‘Tribute’ is excellent. Her recent movie is ‘The Expendables’ directed by Sylvester Stallone, which will be released in 2010. Brittany was also famous as a singer. Her single titled “Faster Kill Pussycat” with Paul Oakenfold became a club hit, and it placed number one on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Play chart. She was also famous as a vocal artist and give her voice for the character of Luanne Platter on the long-running animated series ‘King of the Hill. Brittany is married to British screenwriter Simon Monjack.
