STARDUST AWARDS, 2010

The ‘7th Stardust award’ ceremony was held at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai on 17th January, 2010. This award ceremony was hosted by the famous Bollywood actors Vivek Oberoi and Diya Mirza. People got the chance to watching the amazing performances of many movie stars including Katrina Kaif, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in this award ceremony. Bollywood’s Big B Amitabh Bachchan bagged the ‘Star of the Year Male’ award for her performance in the film “Paa” and Kareena Kapoor gained the ‘Star of the Year Female’ award for performance in “Kurbaan” and “3 Idiots”. The film “Chintuji” became the surprise winner of the ‘Best Film’ of Stardust Awards 2010. The beautiful actress Preity Zinta gained the ‘Best Actress’ award for the film “Videsh” and famous director Ranjit Kapoor won the ‘Best Director’ Award for the film “Chintuji”. Bollywood’s new heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor bagged ‘Superstar of Tomorrow’ category award for his performance in the films “Wake up Sid” and “Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani”. The Ex – Miss Sri Lanka Jacqueline Fernandez gained ‘Exciting New Face’ award for the film “Aladin”. The Stardust Awards is an award ceremony which honors the superstars of the new generation of the Hindi movies. This amazing award ceremony is sponsored by the famous Bollywood news and gossip magazine ‘Stardust’. It honors the new talented movie stars as well as the current star of the Hindi movie industry. It was started in 2003 and held in every years. The awards are include ‘Reader’s choice’, ‘Jury’s choice’, ‘Searchlight winners’ and ‘Special Awards’.

NOKIA 6208 CLASSIC

Mobile giant ‘Nokia’ launched their stylish touch screen phone titled “Nokia 6208 Classic” in Chinese markets. It is the first touch screen phone which has regular alpha numeric keypad. ‘Nokia 6208 Classic’ is boosted with a 2.4-inch QVGA touch screen display along with a stylus that is situated at the back surface of the phone. With this stylus, users can write the simplified English text. This Classic phone run on S40 platform and it supports quad band and GSM connectivity with GPRS and EDGE. It is also included 3.2 mega pixel camera with dual LED flash and 8x digital zoom, multimedia player, FM Radio, handwriting recognition support, Bluetooth and stereo headset. In addition, it comes with an internal memory of 22MB and can be expanded with external memory card slot. It’s battery offer talk time up to 3.5 hours and standby time up to 12.5 days. It will be available in black color and the price of this amazing phone in China is not revealed. In India, it is available with the price of Rs. 13259.

NOKIA

Nokia is one of the world’s largest manufacturer of mobile phones. In 1865, Fredrik Idestam established a wood-pulp mill and started manufacturing paper in southern Finland near the banks of a river. At the beginning of the 20th century, company acquired the Nokia Wood Mills and also acquired a company producing telegraph and telephone cables, the Finish Cable Works. The following year, the company had produced many products like paper, bicycle, car tires, personal computers, footwear, communication cables, electricity generation machineries, televisions, aluminum, capacitors etc. In 1987, Nokia introduced one of the world’s first hand held phones called ‘Mobira Cityman 900′ . It was a worldwide commercial success. After three years, Nokia introduced its first Global Systems for Mobile communications or GSM phone. Nokia has introduced its first GSM handset named ‘Nokia 1011′ and it was introduced a ring tone in 1994 with the Nokia 2100 series. In 1997, Nokia company introduced a classic game named ‘Snake’ highly associated with the company. In 1998, Nokia mobile phones became the world’s leader, and it was introduced another handset in the world. In 2007, Nokia Company was announced and released the Nokia N82, its first Nseries phone with Xenon flash. Next year, Nokia released the Nokia E71. From 1865 until today, Nokia continues to make a great history in mobile phone industry, and it is a world leader in digital technologies, including mobile phones, telecommunication networks, wireless data.
