Starring            :  Abhay Deol, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Satish Kaushik, Faizal
Music               :  Michael Brook
Generation      :  Thriller
Release Date   :  5th March 2010

Famous Bollywood director Dev Benegal is now coming with a new film titled “Road, Movie” after his hit films like “English, August” and “Split Wide Open”. Abhay Deol, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Satish Kaushik and Mohammed Faizal Usmani are the main characters of this film. This film is a film within a film. Hope that this film will be hit on the box office on 5th March 2010.

ABOUT MOVIE

The movie “Road, Movie” is revolves around a young man Vishnu (Abhay Deol) who wants to escape his father’s brokenly hair oil business. One day, he got a chance to drive his uncle’s 1940s Chevy truck across the desert to a museum. On that journey, he picks up a runaway boy (Mohammed Faizal Usmani), a wandering old entertainer (Satish Kaushik), and a beautiful gypsy woman (Tannishtha Chatterjee). Together they wandered in the land and searching for water. The journey takes a turn when they are attacked by corrupt cops and a notorious water lord. Vishnu learns that the truck was once used for ‘travelling cinema’ and eccentric collection of films and the two old film projectors are kept in the back of the truck. Screening films in the middle of the desert provides them the moments of salvation and reflection. This journey changed all travelers especially Vishnu, who discovers life, love and laughter on the Indian highway. This movie is focused on today’s issues like police corruption, corporate culture, a desert warlord’s philosophy, ethnic stereotyping and passion for cinema. All the actors done a wonderful job for this movie. Abhay showed wonderful peroformance in this movie after the success of his films like “Dev D” and ” Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!”.  Tannishtha has also lent her voice to a song of this movie. This movie boosts stunning cinema-photography from the Rajasthan and Gujarat region with a memorable music by Michael Brook. In addition, this movie already gained huge appreciation at the world festival circuit including the ‘Toronto Film Festival’, ‘Berlin Film Festival’, ‘Tribeca Film Festival’ and ‘Cannes International Film Festival’. Hope that this 95 minutes long movie will be hit on the box office in coming days.  .
