LAKME FASHION WEEK(LFW), 2010

The fashion enthusiastic over India is now looking for ‘Lakme Fashion Week (LFW), 2010′, which was started on today at Hotel Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. This five-day fashion extravaganza will be ended on 9th March,2010. It is organized by India’s No.1 cosmetics and beauty brand ‘Lakme’ and ‘IMG Fashion’, global leader in the management and production of fashion weeks and designer fashion events. ‘Gitanjali Lifestyle’ is this event’s associate sponsor and also has ten co-sponsors. This show is created with a vision to redefine the future of fashion and connect India into the global fashion world. In addition, this show introduced the Indian modern woman to the world of beauty through clothes. It is organized twice in every year. Every year, it was organized in the month of April, but this year it is held in the month of March. Other peculiarity of this year’s show is that, this show will showcase clothes that are available now and not what will come later. Previous years, this show showcased the fashion trends six months in advance, but this year, it will showcase just-in-time cycle clothes. ‘Resort wear’ is the main focus of this show. This year, 64 designers are participating in the fashion week with 153 registered buyer companies. Abdul Halder, Manish Malhotra,  Anupama Dayal,  Krishna Mehta,  Neha Agarwal, Satya Paul, Shantanu & Nikhil, Suneet Varma is some famous designers are participating in this fashion event.
