The movie “The Japanese Wife” is the upcoming movie of actor-director Aparna Sen. This film is based on the short story of the writer Kunal Basu of the same name. This movie is a beautiful love story of an Indian man who falls in love with a pen friend Japanese woman over letters and they live as husband and wife without met each other. Rahul Bose, Raima Sen, Moushumi Chatterjee and Japanese actress Chigusa Takaku are the main actors of this movie. Japan and the Sunderbans are main shooting locations of this movie. Hope that this film will be hit on the theatre on 9th April 2010.

ABOUT MOVIE

Snehamoy(Rahul Bose) is a school teacher in the interiors of Sundarbans, West Bengal. In his college days, he send to the letters to a Japanese woman Migaya (Chingusa Takaku). He found her name in a magazine under ‘pen friends’. Slowly they become good friends and decide to get married without met each other. They stay married for 15 years. There’s a lot of caring between the two. Both worry for the other. She sends him photographs, gifts and even a huge box of traditional Japanese kites. In response, he sends her rain-drenched champak blossoms carefully wrapped in plastic with the hope that they will retain their fragrance until they reach her. His aunt  Maashi (Moushumi Chatterjee) was shocked at first, but later she is ready to accept her absentee niece in-law. However this unusual relationship comes under a cloud when his aunt’s god daughter Sandhya (Raima Sen), a young widow comes to stay with Snehmoy along with her eight year old son (Rudranil Ghosh). With Sandhya, Snehamoy discovers a bond of home life and with her son Paltu, he discovers the joys of fatherhood. This movie is about love that has no geographic or cultural boundaries. In addition, this movie is blessed with all good things including good performance of actors, humour, photography and music. Hope that this film will be super hit in coming days.

VOLKSWAGEN JETTA

German luxury car manufacturer ‘Volkswagen’ launched their upgraded version of ‘Jetta’ in Indian roads. This new car is equipped with he new 2.0L CRDe that generates 110PS of max power at 4200rpm and 250Nm of max torque. It comes as a 4-door sedan or 4-door wagon. Both body styles are available in S and SE trim levels. It comes with three variants and 2 engines including a 1.6 litre petrol engine and a 1.9 litre diesel engine in India. It’s two versions are Trendline and Comfortline. The petrol Trendline Jetta comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox and the diesel Comfortline version comes with a six-speed automatic gearshift. There are eight airbags in diesel Comfortline model and it provide a quiet comfort in long journeys. It’s other features are  arm rests in the front as well as the rear, 2 AC vents at the rear besides 2-zone climate control, coming-home and leaving-home lighting and rain sensors on windshields, anti-lock braking system (ABS), Electronic Stabilisation Program with steering assist, Traction control, Antiskid system, Anti-theft system etc. A navigation system, sunroof, and iPod adapter are among the available options. A panoramic sunroof is available on the wagon. The price of this amazing car is Rs  15.92 lakhs in India.
