The IPL team ‘Royal Challengers Bangalore’ pacer Praveen Kumar attained a great achievement in the third season of the ‘Indian Premier League’(IPL) on yesterday. He gained the first hat-trick of the third edition of the IPL in the match against Rajasthan Royals. His hat-trick was the seventh hat-trick in the history of IPL tournament. In addition to the player of Royal Challengers Bangalore, Praveen Kumar is also a player of the ‘Indian national team’ and ‘Uttar Pradesh domestic cricket team’.

BIOGRAPHY

Praveenkumar Sakat Singh was born 2nd October, 1986 in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India. He is a fast-medium pacer, a hard-hitting batsman and an excellent ground fielder. Earlier, he played in the domestic cricket for Uttar Pradesh. He gained 90 wickets in his first two domestic seasons. With this performance, he was selected into ‘India A’ team. He was again shined with ‘India A’ team by taking 67 wickets in 39 matches. With his impressive figures in domestic cricket and India A team, he was selected in the India’s national team. His debut international match was against Pakistan in 2007. He gained no wickets in his first two ODI matches, but in the third match, he gained 4 wickets which helped India to defeat Sri Lanka. HeĀ  gained four wickets in a winning match against Australia in the final of the 2007-08 CB Series and he was declared as ‘Man of the Match’. He gained 40 wickets in 34 ODI matches. He is one of the best medium pace bowlers of the Indian team and he has the ability to swing the ball both ways along with line and length over speed. Recent times, he also showed keen interest in batting. He is also a player of ‘Royal Challengers Bangalore’ IPL team. He showed wonderful performance in bowling and batting in the second season of the IPL where his team came runners up. In this third season of IPL, he gained first hat-trick of this season in the match against Rajasthan Royals. He gained the wickets of Damein Martyn, Narwal and Dogra of Rajasthan Royals to reach his first hat-trick. In addition, his hat-trick was the seventh hat-trick in the history of IPL tournament.

The Oscar award winning Hollywood actress Kate Winslet, who gained popularity through James Cameron’s romantic movie “Titanic” has separated from her film director husband Sam Mendes after seven years of marriage life. Mendes is also a Oscar Award winner and this couple is considered as one of the movie world’s golden couples, so their split is a big shock to the movie lovers. This couple have one son Joe, while Winslet has a daughter Mia, from her first marriage to film director Jim Threapleton. The separation is mutual and both of them have agreed for joint parenting of their children.

Kate Elizabeth Winslet was born on 5th October, 1975 in an actors family in Reading, Berkshire, England, UK. Her father Roger Winslet and mother Sally were both actors, both her sisters Beth and Anna are actors,her grandparents Oliver and Linda Bridges founded and operated the ‘Reading Repertory’. She started her acting career at the age of eleven by playing in a television commercial for kids cereals. At that age, she is studying in high school and started to take acting lessons. Her first success was in the movie “Heavenly Creatures” in 1994. She gained ‘Empire Award’ and a ‘London Film Critics Circle Award’ for ‘British Actress of the Year’ for her performance of this film. After that, she appeared in Ang Lee’s “Sense and Sensibility” and she gained a ‘British Academy Award’ and an ‘Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress’ for her performance of this film. In 1996, she acted in the films like “Jude” and “Hamlet” and she bagged her second ‘Empire Award’ for her performance of the film “Hamlet”. She rose into the international star through James Cameron’s romantic movie “Titanic” in 1997. In this film, she appeared in the role of a aristocrat Rose opposite with the actor Leonardo DiCaprio. In addition, this film was highest grossing film for more than 12 years until 2010 and she gainedĀ  Best Actress Oscar nomination and ‘European Film Award’. After “Titanic”, she acted in the lead roles in “Shakespeare in Love” and “Anna and the King”. Her other notable film are “”Iris”, “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”, “Finding Neverland”, “Little Children”, etc. In 2007, she again appeared with Leonardo DiCaprio in the film “Revolutionary Road” directed by her husband Sam Mendes. In 2008, her film “The Reader” got good reviews from the audience and she was awarded with ‘Oscar award for Best Actress , the ‘BAFTA Award for Best Actress’, a ‘Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress’, and a ‘Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress’. Winslet is also a occasional singer and her single “What If” become huge hit in European countries. She is married twice. Earlier, she married to a director Jim Threapleton and they have a daughter, Mia Honey. Later, they were divorced. Then she married to a director Sam Mendes and they have a son Joe Alfie Winslet Mendes. Now they decided to separate with each other.

She is the youngest person to gain six Academy Award nominations and she won ‘Academy award for Best actress’ in the film “The Reader”. She also won ‘Golden Globe Best Supporting Actress award’ and ‘BAFTA Award for Best Actress’ for the film “The Reader”. Her other awards include ‘Golden Globe Award for Best Actress’ for the film “Revolutionary Road”, ‘BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress’ for the film “Sense and Sensibility”, ‘Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award for Best Supporting Actress’ for “Iris” and the ‘Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance’ by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for the film “Sense and Sensibility” and “The Reader”. She also won a ‘Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album for Children’ for “Listen To the Storyteller” and she was was nominated for an ‘Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series’ for playing herself in a episode of “Extras”. .
