Big Boss of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan is now shining in a new role, because he is the host of the ongoing popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss Season 3’. This reality show was started on October 4th at 9.00 pm on India’s popular TV channel “COLORS”. ‘Bigg Boss Season 3’ is the third season of the ‘Bigg Boss’, the Indian version of the “Big Brother” reality show and its earlier two seasons were big hit in audiences. In this season, Amitabh Bachchan playing the role of ‘Pop Philosopher’,  and he will be appearing on the show on Fridays and Saturdays.

ABOUT BIGG BOSS

‘Bigg Boss’ is the Indian version of the “Big Brother” reality show which was developed by Endemol in the Netherlands. In this reality show, 14 participants are locked in a house for close to 85 days. 35 cameras will watch every activity of each participant and a big boss ensured that their stay in that house is comfortable. Participants are very different in their attitude, thoughts, views, behavior and lifestyles, but all have to survive together for 85 days. Participants have to remain one week in the house of Bigg Boss. Each week, one member will go out of the show on the voting of participants. Participants have to follow some rules of Big Boss, and they have to do their own job to survive their life in that house. They have to live like a jail life in that house and no contact from outside the house. Sometimes, they help each other, and sometimes they are angry each other. Over all, this show reveals the best and the worst side of contestants. It is not a reality show, but it touches our life.

BIGG BOSS SEASON 1

The first season of the ‘Bigg Boss’ TV reality show was started from November 2006 to January 2007 on ‘Sony entertainment television’. Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi was the host of this show and actor Rahul Roy was the winner of that season. Carol was selected as the first runner up and whilst Ravi was the second runner up of this season. This season was not popular among audiences.

BIGG BOSS SEASON 2

The second season of this show was started from 17th August 2008 on another TV channel ‘COLORS’. Shilpa Shetty was the host of this show and she present this show in a new style. It was ended on November 2008. Ashutosh Kaushik was the winner of this season, and he got Rs.1 crore in cash. Zulfi Syed was declared the second runner-up and Raja Choudhary was first runner-up of this season. It got good popularity among audiences.

BIGG BOSS SEASON 3

Third season of this show was started from 4th October 2009 on India’s popular TV channel “COLORS”. Bollywood’s famous actor Amitabh Bachchan is the host of this show. Amitabh Bachchan playing the role of ‘Pop Philosopher’ in this show, and he will bind the gap between ‘Bigg Boss’ participants and viewers through this role. Another peculiarity of this season is that it includes a special music trailer with a song sung by Amitabh Bachchan. This reality show is going to be high on glamour with women participants. The participants of this show are music director Ismail Darbar, actor-director Kamal R Khan, actress Sherlyn Chopra, actress Poonam Dhillon, popular reality TV couple Tanaz and Bakhtiyar Irani, wrestler-actor Dara Singh’s son Vindu Dara Singh, ex-model Aditi Gowitrikar, German actress Claudia Ciesla, actress Shamita Shetty, designer Rohit Verma, Jaya Sawant, the mother of the reality TV queen Rakhi Sawant, actor Rahul Mahajan and comedian Raju Srivastava.

SACH KA SAAMNA - TV SHOW

Famous TV channel Star plus’s ongoing popular reality show ‘Sach ka Saamna’ is now facing a big trouble, because of the demand to stop its telecast. Members of parliament of BJP and SP parties protest against the show and they demanded the government to ban this show as soon as possible. They consider this show as a threat to Indian morals and values, and they claimed that this show broadcasts ruthless and dishonorable standards. The questions for the contestants are highly shocking in nature including their personal bedroom life. In addition, the contestants are talked about their intimate physical relationships and other dirty questions in respect to their personal life in front of their close near and dear ones. After that, the Information and Broadcasting ministry of India had issued a showcase notice to Star Plus channel for alleged violation of section 5 of the Cable TV (Regulation) Act, 1995, for showing this TV show and the ministry gave time till July 27 to respond to the notice. However, the officials of this entertainment channel said that their reality show, “Sach Ka Saamna” had not violated any programming guidelines prescribed under the existing cable laws in the country. Many other people also opposed this show by commenting that India is known for traditions, culture and human values. By telecasting this show, there will be negative impact on the people. However, the Delhi High Court had dismissed the appeal against this show saying that it has better work than moral policing.

ABOUT SACH KA SAAMNA

“Sach Ka Saamna” is a TV reality show which is telecasted from 15th of July on STAR PLUS entertainment channel. It is the adaption of internationally hit show ‘Moment Of Truth’, which was shown in Fox Channel USA and had success in different countries. The producer of this show is Siddhartha Basu and the host is TV star Rajeev Khandelwal. It will be telecased on 50 episodes with half an hour each. Many famous celebrities including sports person, actors and singers are appearing in this show. The main aim of this show is bringing the truth inside the person who is participating in this show. The participants of this show are selected after the psycho-analysis of personality type and their past. Then the contestants go through three tests and interviews before reaching the polygraph test. In the test, participants are put on the hot seat and asked 50 questions in a row and are given 25 seconds to answer each. The validity of the contestants’ responses are determined by a polygraph examination. Those who pass the polygraph test become eligible to win up to Rs one crore in prize money. Contestants can decide to stop at any time and leave the show. At that point they will win the amount of the last level successfully completed provided they haven’t heard the next question to be asked. If the contestant lie at any level, then they lost all the money and will be out of the show. This wonderful show is broadcast from Monday to Friday at 10:30 PM IST on Star Plus.
